About Kyle Sclafani

Kyle is native of Metairie, Louisiana, and attended high school at St. Martin’s Episcopal High School. He graduated from the University of the South (Sewanee) in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science, and served as the Chairman of the Honor Council.

After graduating, Kyle spent three years traveling and performing as a professional musician. In 1999, Kyle returned home and earned his Juris Doctor from Tulane University Law School, graduating cum laude, in 2002. While studying law at Tulane, Kyle was a Moot Court Trial Champion and was twice published in the Tulane Maritime Law Journal.

Kyle practiced in the areas of insurance defense, premises liability, and construction law for five years with two New Orleans defense firms.  In 2007, Kyle joined the firm of Braden, Gonzalez, and Associates. While there, Kyle developed his plaintiff practice, representing injured parties in automobile accidents.    

Kyle has operated his own law office since the fall of 2008. He represents New Orleans businesses and individuals primarily in the areas of real estate, commercial litigation, construction, and personal injury. He is licensed to practice before all Louisiana State and Federal Courts, and the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal. He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar and New Orleans Bar Association.

Kyle is also an owner/operator of the Lake Terrace Crossing, the first gas station/convenience store to return to the Lake Terrace neighborhood in New Orleans.

Kyle lives and resides in Lakeview with his wife, Julie, their sons, Salvador and Jude.  In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, outdoor fun, and performing music.  Kyle has performed as a musician (bass and guitar) in New Orleans since 1999 (guitar and bass) with The Eddy Redd Band, Uncle Thirsty, and Mia Borders.
